So there’s been quite a bit of action happening in the last month or two of 2021 and 2022 has started off with a bit of a yellow showing but not much biting. A few members pulling the hat out of the rabbit (yes it’s that rare). Check out what we missed below!
“If you had to wait for fishing reports then you aren’t paddling your own journey. Grab your paddle and find the fish!” – Ghandi (2021)
CHEERS TO 2021! A year full of lockjaw, locked drag and lockdowns …
It’s been a year of ups and downs, a year cherished by many and a year of great learning curves. We are proud of our members who joined us as newbies and are now out and free to roam without holding hands.
As for our old crocs and experienced paddlers it’s been a weird season as from years past with odd catches at odd times, members catching kob which trying to catch chokka, members catching geelbek trolling for tail, getting snoek left, right and centre till it became a nuisance. You can definately imagine they aren’t complaining at all!
It’s always a great feeling seeing our members releasing slow growing species under threat, with no doubt Guy Balme has released a vast amount of fish, various species and has tagged a few which hopefully will be recaptured and released again. We fish for tomorrow.
We look forward to the year ahead with our January already kicking off with some killer yellowtail action! Stay tuned for the post coming up…
